Where to eat – Brasserie Balzar, Paris

No matter how often you come to Paris, the first thing you should do is find a proper classic Parisian brasserie. Straight from the plane!
There are plenty of them around the city, and to avoid getting lost – or ending up somewhere disappointing, it’s always better to have an address in mind beforehand.

Le Balzar has been around since 1894, which is already a pretty good sign. I usually start with French onion soup and escargots. Welcome to France!

And don’t be surprised if you happen to spot Catherine Deneuve or a former French foreign minister at the table next to you. They’re regulars here and apparently don’t mind dining alongside us simple people.
