A trip to Armenia would never be complete without a visit to Lake Sevan. Sometimes it can be a destination in itself, with a few days spent relaxing at one of the lakeside hotels. Other times, like in my case, it makes for a perfect stop on the way to Dilijan.

Take a moment to cool off, enjoy the beautiful views, and, if the weather allows, why not go for a swim? And, of course, make time for lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants, where you can enjoy the local fish with a view.
My recommendation is Yasaman Sevan’s Restaurant. You won’t regret it. Delicious food, stylish surroundings, great service and that effortlessly Instagrammable aesthetic that makes you want to stay a little longer to enjoy your Armenian coffee. Yasaman is located right by Lake Sevan in Tsovagyugh, and the menu features plenty of local fish, including Sevan whitefish and trout.
